Hi bigdave,

Ed is right, it's a corn

Charcoal it's possible, normaly they have the tipical "blue"Charcoal eyes. You can take a good look and see.

Anery's have always black eyes.
mostly have the Charcoals very less xantine (yellow pigment)
Anery's have mostly some yellow around the neck and head.

Charcoal or Anery B have nearly the same characteristics as an Anery A,
the main difference is that Charcoals produce nearly no Yellow pigment.
The snakes have less contrast in colour compared to an Anery A,
the result is a Black and Grey snake. The ground colour is dark grey with
grey or black saddle markings with a black border, the eyes are almost
completely blue black. The Charcoal does not show much Yellow and stays quite dark as an adult.

Anery A .Anerythristic means that the gene which
produces the Red pigment is missing.Anerythristic type A corns
only have the Black and Yellow pigment. The result is
a Black and Grey snake with some Yellow. A lot of Anerythristic snakes
turn Brown as they get older.
The word Anerythristic is Latin and means "A" = without and
Erythrin is the name of the Red pigment.

The snakes have a Greyish ground colour with Grey to Black saddle markings
with a Black border, when they get older they become Yellow around the neck and head.

I hope that you get something to this

Johan :JvdD:

Well guys I must agree with Johan (otherwise he will hit me next week) To determine if it is a Charcoal or not is not very easy without a pic of the eyes. The yellow pigmentation is not really a true characteristic any more, so the only real chance is to look at the eyes.

Sorry if I sounded a bit posh there but I had to try and write better English than Johan

i reckon on charcoal - it doesn't look 'dark' enough for anery, and there looks too much black around the saddles for ghost

So ghosts tend to lose most if not all the black around the saddles, the hypo effect. And are a bit paler, saddlewise.?
What about ghosts eyes. I'll go check my ghosts eyes ...
